Sitting in front of her overheated laptop, Genevieve was becoming more and more frustrated with the project that was assigned by her English teacher. None of his directions were making sense and her temper was running short. The thought of getting a zero on this assignment was flickering through her mind as a choice but she was forcing it to the very back of her mind. Reaching towards the power button, she heard the door behind her creak open and she flipped her head around to see who was in the doorway. Not surprised, she spotted her mother pointing at her watch.

“I know, Mom. I’m doing my project for Mr. Roberts, but he’s a complete idiot. Please tell me if you understand these freaking instructions,” she practically screamed, shoving the orange paper in her mothers face. Flopping back on her bed, Genevieve watched her mother shake her head, just as confused as her daughter was. 

“I’ll call the school in the morning. No daughter of mine is going to have a lowered grade because they hired such an idiot.” And without a chance to say anything, her mother was out the door. Shoving the pillow in her face, she screamed loudly. It wasn’t that she wanted to fail the English project, but having her mommy fight her battles during her senior year was a bit tedious. 

Genevieve was afraid people would start to think her mother did her work for her, next. That was exactly the opposite. Her mother was as dull as a doorknob sometimes, so it was impossible for her mother to do all of her AP work. Propping herself on her elbows, she looked around the room and shivered. A chill crept through her window and she sighed when Samuel began playing some Irish jig music. 

“This is going to be a long year.” And was she right.

GENEVIEVE MELODY | SEVENTEEN YEARS OF AGE 

Growing up around a Disney obsessed mother, Genevieve is more interested in the franchise more so than boys. Don’t get it wrong, she is interested in other geeky things. She grew up with both her mother and father, and an older brother who moved to Australia a few years ago with his wife. At times she can be naive, but other times she has a bad ass motif to her. She enjoys telling jokes and laughing, even at the stupidest things. Most of the time, Genevieve won’t say a word; actions speak louder than words. Her best friend is Daniel, ever since birth. Her traits include naive, funny, loud, awkward, and hopeless romantic.
